For this logo, the only unoriginal aspects of it were the banners and some portions of the griffin (originally a lion), both of which started out as clip art. Since the Jeff Todd Band logo was officially never put into use, this was a great opportunity to use the wings developed for that logo to turn these lions into griffins. The client desired to have an archaic and very realistic looking shield while employing a look from the middle ages that still felt clean and professional.
For the website navigation, it was important to maintain the archaic look by using an old-fashioned font that appears to be handwritten on an aged parchment.
