Automated Presentation Creator

Project Overview
For a while, MousEffects was stuck creating "Private Label Presentations" by hand. Creating a presentation was often a time consuming and tedious process, since each required customized graphics and web pages, which meant that they required graphic design and programming skills to complete. The software I created, aptly called the "Private Label Presentation Creator" (or PLP Creator for short), allowed anyone to create a presentation on the fly with little training. All they had to do was specify a file to use for the company's logo and then just fill in the rest of the fields with contact information.

The Benefit
Since our designers and developers were already very busy, I proposed that the PLP Creator be developed so that these presentations could be generated automatically. The software had several immediate benefits for the company:
  1. Reduced time: Now presentations could be generated with just a little input and the click of a button.
  2. Little training required: Entry-level employees could now produce presentations which meant graphic design and programming specialists were freed up for more important tasks.
  3. Quality Assurance: Rules were built into the software, so a presentation could not be finished until these rules were met. Also allowed the option send a notification to a QA specialist to review work before publishing, which in turn helped improve customer satisfaction because errors were reduced.
